Workshops

Annamation will tailor-make their storytelling workshops to suit your needs. They have experience working with children, young people and adults. Below are just a few of the different types of workshops that are available:

‘INTRODUCTION TO STORYTELLING’  Workshop

For those who want to learn the key skills needed to tell a good story. The workshop explores plot and structure, visualisation techniques to bring the story to life in the mind of the teller, characaterisation and vocal dynamics.

‘POWER OF WORDS’ Workshop

Words have the power to build or destroy. This workshop aims to increase awareness of the effect our words have on others and build confidence through storytelling training in expressing ourselves and speaking in front of a group. The spoken word is powerful: Listening to and telling well crafted stories inspires the imagination, widens vocabulary and heightens our sense of story.

‘HAGS AND HEROINES’ Workshop for secondary schools.

An excerpt from Annamation’s new show ‘Hags and Heroines’ is performed in the workshop to give the children a unique experience of our theatrical and engaging storytelling style. The students are then taken through different activities enabling them to have a go at storytelling in front of their peers using the tools and techniques that  make Annamation’s storytelling so successful.
